How to include a Drive / Folder for backup

  • Right Click on the Actifile Agent displayed on the Windows Tray
  • The Folder Settings Menu option will be displayed in the Actifile Agent tray.
  • Click on the Folder Settings menu option. The Folder Settings screen will be displayed
  • From the “Folder Settings” screen, click on the “Browse” button. The Browse for Folder screen will be displayed
  • Select a Drive / Folder / or a sub folder under a folder and click on the “OK” button
  • The selected Drive / Folder /Sub Folder path will be displayed in the Folder Name text box
  • From the Combo box below the Folder Name textbox, select the include option
  • Click on the “Apply” button.
  • The selected Drive / Folder /Sub Folder will be added in an editable list box.
  • To backup files only from the selected Drive / Folder /Sub Folder, select the “Ignore Global Backup Settings” checkbox. Only the files from the selected Drive / Folder /Sub Folder will be backed up.
  • Click on the Save button to save the Folder Settings changes for the device. All the files from the selected Drive / folder / sub folder will be included for backup
  • Note: If the “Ignore Global Backup Settings” checkbox is unchecked, then from all the other Drives, folders and sub folders on the device, the files whose file extensions are enabled in backup settings, will be backed up.
  • To remove an Included file, click on the “X” button near the Included file in the list box. The file will be removed from the list box.
  • Click on the “Save” button to apply the changes
