Actifile Two-Step Verification.

Two-Step Verification Feature

 

Two Step verification feature is available for Enterprise Accounts only. This feature provides the User with additional security by sending a unique Four Digits verification code to the User’s mobile number. After validating the verification code, the user is successfully logged to the Actifile system.

 

Step by Step Instructions

1.Login to Actifile, using your registered Enterprise Account credentials.

Input your Actifile registered Email ID in the “Email” field, Password in the “Password” field and click on the “Login” button.

2. The User should be navigated to the Home Page.

3. Click on the Admin Tab. The Admin Dashboard will be displayed.

 4. Click on the Setting menu item. The General Setting Page will be displayed. By default the Two Step Verification Feature will be “Disabled”.

5. To enable Two Step Verification feature, click on the Two-step Verification drop down button and change it to “Enabled” and click on the Submit button.

 6. A message “General settings were updated successfully” will be displayed

7. Click on the Ok button. The Two step Verification feature is now enabled on your account.

8. Logout from Actifile and Login to Actifile Enterprise Account Credentials.

Input your Actifile registered Email ID in the “Email” field, Password in the “Password” field and click on the “Login” button.

9.The system will display the following page. Please note that this page will be displayed only when the Phone Number field is MyProfile, Edit Page is Blank.

10. By default the Country selected while registering the Actifile Enterprise account will be displayed in the Country field and the corresponding country code will be displayed in the first part of the non-editable Phone Number field. Input your Phone number in the editable Phone number field and click on the Text Me button

11. The system will prompt the user to Input the Verification code that was sent to your Phone number.

12. Input the 4 Digits Verification code received on your Phone Number and click on the Submit button. The User should be logged in to Actifile system successfully and the Actifile Home page will be displayed.

13.Click on My Profile menu item displayed on the left hand side corner. The My Profile Page will be displayed

14.Click on the Edit button from the My Profile Page. A new Phone number field will be displayed with the verified Phone number data. This field will be blank before the Phone number is verified for the first time. If the Phone number in this field is updated to a different number, then the Verification code will be sent to the updated number. Please note that the Phone Number field will not be displayed when the Two-Step Verification field is “Disabled” in Admin, Settings Menu.

15. Navigate to the Admin DashBoard by clicking on the Admin tab

16. Click on the Users menu item. The User Management Page will be displayed.

17.Click on Add. A new Phone Number field will be displayed in the Account Information page. For all the Non-Admin Users created by Administrator, the Phone number prefixed by the “+” ,Country Code and Phone number will be input in this field. For e.g. if the Country code is 91 and the phone number is 9876543210 then the Phone number input in this field will be +919876543210. When the Non-Admin User logins in to Actifile, the system will send the Verification code to the Phone number input in this field

18. Logout from Actifile and Login to Actifile Enterprise Account Credentials.

Input your Actifile registered Email ID in the “Email” field, Password in the “Password” field and click on the “Login” button.

19. The system will prompt the user to Input the Verification code that was sent to your Phone number. Click on the “try again” link, a new 4 digits Verification code will be sent your Phone number. If the “try again” link is clicked for more than 3 times, the User will get locked and the following message will be displayed to the User

20. If the Administrator is locked, then the user can be unlocked by the following process. 

20a. Click on the Login Link

20b. Click on the “Forgot Password?”  link.  The Restore Password page will be displayed

20c. Input the Actifile Registered Email id of the Administrator in the “Email” Field in Restore Password page and click on the Send button. The Restore password mail will be sent to the Registered Email id of the User.

20d. Open the relevant mail and click on the provided link for restoring the password. The Change Password screen will be displayed.

20e. Input your new or existing password in the Password field and input the same data in the Confirm password field. The phone number field with the country code and phone number for the user will be displayed by default. Click on the Send button. A message “Password was changed successfully” will be displayed. The Administrator is now unlocked.

21. In case the Non-Admin user gets locked, the user can be unlocked by the following process

21a. Login to Actifile using Administrator’s credentials. Input the verification code. The User will be logged in to Actifile system successfully and the Actifile Home Page will be displayed

21b. Navigate to the Admin Dashboard by clicking on the Admin tab

21c. Click on the “Users” menu item. The User Management Page with the list of Users will be displayed.

21d. Click on the User who is locked. The My Profile Page with the selected User’s details will be displayed.

22e. Click on the Unlock button to unlock the Non-Admin user. A message “User has been unlocked” will be displayed. The User is now unlocked. A locked Non-Admin User can also be unlocked, when the Administrator changes the User’s phone number in My Profile Edit, phone number field.
